There’s a strange feeling that comes with putting your thoughts out into the world.
At first, it feels empowering.
Like opening a window in a room that’s been closed up for too long.
Fresh air. Movement. Possibility.
And then, just as quickly, something else creeps in.
A quieter voice.
Who really cares?
Who’s even reading this?
Is this just me… talking to myself out loud?
I’ve been sitting with that feeling.
Because the truth is, this does feel like writing into the void sometimes.
No applause. No immediate response. Just words… released, and then silence.
But I’m starting to wonder if I’ve misunderstood the silence.
Maybe it isn’t emptiness.
Maybe it’s space.
Space for someone to find a sentence they didn’t know they needed.
Space for recognition without obligation.
Space for connection that doesn’t announce itself.
Because I know what it feels like to read something quietly and think,
yes… that’s it.
And then move on without ever saying a word.
So maybe this isn’t about who responds.
Maybe it’s about showing up honestly anyway.
Maybe it’s about no longer shrinking my thoughts
just because they echo for a while before they land.
And if this is a void,
then at least it’s one I’m choosing to speak into—
instead of staying silent inside of.

If you’ve ever felt like your voice didn’t quite have a place,
or wondered if it mattered at all,
maybe you understand this space too.
Yes, this!
I have been reading your posts. I often find a sentence that resonates, although not all of it.
We are, indeed, in the supermarket, and everyone’s private maps are different. It doesn’t mean we don’t recognize the sameness.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It is brave, writing into the void, but not unseen.
Thank you for this thoughtful comment. It truly means a lot to know you’ve been reading along and finding pieces that resonate with you. I wouldn’t expect every post to connect in the same way, so your honesty feels especially genuine and appreciated.
Your line about “writing into the void, but not unseen” stayed with me. Sometimes sharing personal reflections can feel a little like sending thoughts into open space, so hearing from someone on the other side of it means more than you probably realize.
I’m not really sure how you happened upon my blog, but I’m very glad you’re here. Thank you for taking the time to say hello. 💛
